VIP Mortgage is seeking an experienced Production Specialist with processing experience for their Tempe location!

Under the guidance of the Branch/Sales Manager(s), the Production Specialist will take full ownership of a loan file from the day the loan is sent to Operations. They will need to review accurate notes, 1003, and documents provided by the Sales team. They also will send out disclosures, a complete and accurate needs list that requests all items from the borrower to get their loan through funding. This person will need to input proper notes upon receipt of the file to delegate tasks to the Team as they reach certain milestones.

Once the needs list is sent, the Production Specialist's (PS) main role is to ensure the Team hits a realistic closing date. The PM is the Team leader making sure all parts of the Operations team are held accountable to their expectations to ensure that date is hit. Their main function is to review the borrower's paperwork as it is received and respond with a revised needs list of what is still remaining. The PS is in direct communication with the Borrower regarding missing items that are needed to get the loan all the way through closing. They will also determine if there are substantial changes within a file upon reviewing required data and documents that may pose a possible adverse effect upon the loan.

The perfect candidate will have -

Bachelor Degree, or equivalent work experience.
7-10 years minimum of mortgage banking experience
Underwriting and processing background, required
Must be proficient with RESPA/TIL, Federal, State, and regulatory procedures and practices.
Knowledgeable in processing, closing, underwriting and all other aspects of the mortgage loan process.
Proficient with Encompass or an alternative LOS
Proficient with cloud storage management
Ability to calculate income including complex tax returns
Ability to read and reconcile financial statements
Review and confirm Investor/Agency Guidelines
Advocate for the loan through collaboration on conditions with Operations roles including Processors, Underwriters and Funders
Knowledgeable with PMI, Fannie, Freddie, FHA, and VA guidelines, including how those affect automated Underwriting Systems: DU, LP and Total Scorecard.
Strong communication, oral, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills; ability to work in stressful situations
Knowledge of computers and strong computer skills.
Must possess a high level of professionalism with the ability to work within a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Must be flexible and willing to adapt to change
